Adoptive Families Group

We had lunch today with seven other families that have adopted or are in the process of adopting from Ethiopia! We had a wonderful lunch at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant. A couple of the families are waiting for their kids (just like us) and the rest had their children with them.

Over a meal of kitfo (finely chopped ground beef in a spicy/sweet sauce), lamb tibs (lamb with butter, tomatoes, onions, garlic and ginger) and tikil gomen (lightly spiced cabbage, carrots, onions and tomatoes) the adults talked about our experiences with adoption. All the kids soon found playmates and enjoyed running around and playing Jenga together.

Jed and I are excited about this new group and hope to make some new friends as well as future playmates for our daughter.
