In-home interviews complete

>> Saturday, May 8, 2010

We had our in-home interviews with our social worker, Leslie, today. The kids gave her a tour of the house and then she talked alone with each one for about 10 minutes. I managed to restrain myself from eavesdropping!

Then Jed and I talked to her for another hour and a half. We talked more about our parenting styles and the strengths in our marriage. We also talked about the diversity of our neighborhood, the quality of our schools and how we plan to teach our daughter about her Ethiopian heritage. When Leslie left I felt a great relief that we had completed that portion of the process. She will be sending us the home study to review tomorrow and she should have it finished by mid-week. Wow, we are really almost done with the home study!

Our orientation package arrived from AGC yesterday. I read through all the contracts and forms. Now we need to sign everything and have it notarized then send it off in the mail with the big check!
